“CAT BIRD COYOTE” is a film I designed and animated for Amy Raasch, as part of a larger project of hers about animal behavior. The film premieres today on Huffington Post Entertainment, and will be available to watch on every Virgin America flight through January on the Boing Boing channel! It has also been collecting awards at multiple film festivals. This little film is going on a big journey!

This is a little Chrome/Safari experiment! Once the file loads, you can change the depth of field depending on what you click. (Inspired by the Lytro!)
All these ink drawings were made for the 2012 CalArts Character Animation Open Gallery show. You can see them all here! Each was drawn with India ink on either a love or money scroll, which could be found at World Market. The outsides of the scrolls (visible on one edge) were screen-printed with beautiful colors and textures.

WOOHOO!!!! So I’m pretty stoked at this point. Why? Because all that’s left to do in the next 14 days is come up with a title, make the credits, throw in sound effects and record the music!!!! In the meantime, since I’m done with the actual FILM part, I thought I’d upload a few teaser images that [hopefully] won’t give away the plot.
