Nerd alert.
Lo and behold, my latest 11×14″ sketchbook sports a single, large, oldschool Apple sticker… which makes it a Mac-book! (har har har!) It’s got a really fast processor, too– though it’s only 15 days old, I’ve already filled a third of it. (badum-PSHHH!!)

Wiener Mobile sighting!
“We’ve got a special treat for you tomorrow, Albertson’s shoppers! The Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile will be here!”
Oh boy, mark your calendars. This was an event not to be missed! In fact, I think this is the biggest event Fallbrook’s had in… forever.
Sweet license plate– IWSHIWR… I wish I were!
The inside looked mustard-and-ketchuppy; lotsa yellow and red with a sky pattern on the ceiling!
They gave me free stickers, which are now proudly displayed on the front of my sketchbook.
That concludes the adventures of the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile to the Albertson’s in Fallbrook!
3rd grade Christmas haiku
In the spirit of the season, the Christmas decorations came out– which, of course, included tidbits of my childhood: crafty assignments based ’round pastes, construction paper and cleverly-written haiku.
For those of you who find 3rd-grade handwriting illegible, I’ll transcribe:
“Roots are not on tree.
Presents are under our nice tree.
Carots are very nice.”
10 points for getting five solid syllables in the first line. 200 points for running out of subject matter and delving into the contents of lunch– complete with a misspelling!

And a major-shout out to Daniel and the OC community, this would have been impossible without them!
ComicCon 2009!!!
So somehow I managed to live twenty years in SoCal as an artist without making it to ComicCon even ONCE!!!! (For shame!) Well, I am pleased to say that as of yesterday, this animator made it to her first MASSIVE art convention ever.
BUTTONS!
Guess who got a Tecre utton-making machine? I DID! 😀 This is quite exciting. I can make buttons to my heart’s content– and my goal’s to fill up an entire denim jacket with buttons. Okay, so I’m probably FAR from reaching that goal (as far as actual button-making supplies goes)– but expect to see a button shop go up sometime! I plan on selling these at ComicCon… So say hello if you happen to run into me on Sunday, the 26th of July!
Also, you may be inquisitive about the I <3 “< . “< is my new happy chompy alligator emoticon. He’s been making visits to my online friends, perhaps you’d like to share him with yours.
My heart melts…
My heart melts for you, dear reader, like CalArts’ cafeteria melts their tuna sandwiches.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
(I sure can tell how much the cafeteria loves me by the loving devotion that the grill guy put into making this the quintessence of the perfect tuna melt, the tuna slopped on with such amazing articulation; and let’s not forget the abundance of onions that he included as well).
