Witty thinking and unexpected interpretations of common phrases can be an art. But when combined with visuals… Oh boy! The fun! And a little fun with microscopes, as well.
Through my 21 years of existence on planet Earth, I think it’s safe to say that just about anything can be turned into “art”. Sure, we have established “art” areas (such as “illustration” and “painting”), then we’ve got the “fine arts” (which can be an installation of just about anything, so long as it’s backed by a deeper meaning) — but what about the art of something ordinary– say, cake making?
It’s been too long! Time to start this blog series up again. Though some artists may be popular, they may only be popular amongst their own circle of like-minded artists. It’s time to cross the artistic boundaries, and that’s why I’ve decided to re-start the Artists of the Month.
Getting back on track, I do apologize for missing the May AOTM post; schooling and sickness do not mix well with proper blog upkeep. However, I’ve got three more featured artists: one a personal friend of mine, another a web designer and the third a kinetic sculptor.
Continuing with the artists of the month, sounds like March went over pretty well!
It’s important to practice your artmaking as much as you can, but it’s also important to get inspiration and soak in work done by other artists– especially those whose style you really appreciate and can learn something from. So I’ve decided to do monthly artist picks, be them world-famous artists, friends, painters, photographers, sculptors– the more inspiration, the better!
