All I can say is 6 hours of life drawing + pastels + crazy-good artists = epicness!

Hellllooooooo for the first time in what, almost a MONTH!??!! So sorry for the major lack in bloggage– I’ve been so incredibly busy here at CalArts that I haven’t had a moment to sit down, breathe, and pound out any blogs of the adventures, life drawings, and animations that by the time I’m finally through with my projects… classes start right up and I’m back to work again!
Anyway, had it not been for my dad wondering about my latest assignment in my Color and Design class, you wouldn’t be reading this now… well you ARE reading this now, but assuming you read it the very moment of my posting it– well, before I start rambling, scanning these in was a great excuse to finally blog 😀

Here are some cartoony gesture silhouettes based off the 6-year-old me; going to take this character (err… me some 14 years ago) and animate it later. 😀

This is what I do in my Digital Production class…
CD Cover project design for class. Did a comp in Photoshop, and after looking at the design, thought… “hmm, the name of this band should be Superimposed!” Painted with gouache.
Ah– and ever since Lisa Keene so kindly visited us as a guest speaker on Friday, I’ve been wanting to make a pop-up book. Now, to scrounge for some free time… 😀
All drawn with NuPastels.
Latest and greatest from CalArts work! Sorry in advance for the low quality images and the poor lighting. The cubicles are nice and cozy, and while I can definitely see what I’m working on, the lighting isn’t the best for pictures!
Life Drawing
So CalArts pretty much does this:
IT ROCKS!
