The Wild Wagoner
Opening with a synesthetic interpretation of Jilson Setters’ The Wild Wagoner, join Jilson, a blind violinist, on a wild mountain adventure.
Made for collaboration with the Re-Envisioning America show at CalArts, 2010!
WIP :: Wild Wagoner
This semester I’m working on animating a film to go along with The Wild Wagoner, a fiddle tune by mountain man Jilson Setters. This is a collaboration with the school of music, specifically for the American Anthology Project “Reeinvisioning America”. I decided to do a sort of caricatured biography on Jilson for my story… here are some screencaps of the film so far, which will be playing at CalArts around the 8th of December 🙂

The Evolution of a Coat Hanger
Here’s my 49 hour film for the 48-hour lockdown in Character @ CalArts, 2010!
Dive!
Pineapple City & the Curious Contraption
In the event that I couldn’t complete Who Do Voodoo on time, I wanted to do a little stop-motion backup film. So I ended up with two films in the Open Show this year!
Shot with a Canon Powershot and a limited amount of Play-Doh that wanted to have its own way! (At least the light and Curious Contraption behaved).
Who Do Voodoo
4 months and 23 days’ worth of work later, I present to you my BFA-2 film 😀

It is FINISHED!

Well, the animation part, that is. I’ll show y’all what a human being is capable of doing in 18 days when it comes to COLORING! (to be fair, 18 scenes are already completed).

47 scenes! WHOOO!
