So I’m all excited right now! Why on Earth could that be? Because VALUE BLiND just got into its fourth film festival!
I was able to attend the Readymade Film Fest in LA over the summer, which was its first screening outside of CalArts.
It’s also going to be showing at the Young Cinema ART Festival in Plock, Poland and the FIA09 International Animation Festival in Montevideo, Uruguay. It’s also a top 30 finalist for the 2009 Nickelodeon Animation Festival! Voting for the latter will happen next month! Yay!

Animation = DONE!

Finished Film!
“Butterflight” flip test
NOTE: Please visit the video’s YouTube page itself and view it in High Quality to see the actual animation! Otherwise, the default lo-res version doesn’t portray anything but a moving muddle of mush….
A quick, not-too-terribly-smooth flip test of my soon-to-be-uploaded-to-Youtube-so-the-world-can-see first semester film, Butterflight. This is only a minor cleaned-up segment. Check back next Thursday for the entire film 😀
Fishy
Our second animation project entailed designing a fish and making it believably swim/float/drift through the water. Mine’s a punk rock fishy, hence the headbang.
Roller coaster Animation
This week I’ll focus on sharing with you all the animations I’ve done so far for my Beginning Animation class, with our amazing and incredibly inspirational teacher, Mike Nguyen!
This was our first animation assignment, where we had to design a roller coaster and animate several cars riding it.
CalArts Update
So CalArts pretty much does this:
IT ROCKS!
