Mindworks of Whimsicality

Oh dear, it’s already March! Yikes! If I can do a scene a day, I can have my film entirely animated by Spring Break…. sleeping, however, may get in the way of that goal.

Today we did some stroboscopic animation– the model did 1-minute-long poses in increments.


These were drawn when the model was moving in slow-motion for 5 minutes.

A lil’ abstract caricaturing…

20’s! I’m trying to work more sight-size with my “classical” style, it really seems to help with proportions. Last week we even traced the model on glass to see how big it would appear sight-size!

Owie, too much focused animating makes for a painful wrist! Here’s to hoping carpal tunnel doesn’t settle in!
