This was my third animation project, where I had to animate a cylinder and make it jump. The material could be anything– a tin can, rubber, or… in this case, perhaps gelatin?
For the fourth animation project, we needed to make a living can interact with an inanimate ball.
Our second animation project entailed designing a fish and making it believably swim/float/drift through the water. Mine’s a punk rock fishy, hence the headbang.
This week I’ll focus on sharing with you all the animations I’ve done so far for my Beginning Animation class, with our amazing and incredibly inspirational teacher, Mike Nguyen!
This was our first animation assignment, where we had to design a roller coaster and animate several cars riding it.

All painted in gouache; spent approximately three hours on each.

This is a quick digital illustration of me when I was 6… Made for my animation class, our final is our semester film: making our 6-year-old self doing something. In my case? Trying to fly like a butterfly!
