Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! (According to CalArts). Here are some screenshots from a Z-sculpt I made last night (errrr this morning) of my main character, sans eyes and hair. This was somewhat inspired by James Gurney’s visit on Friday– he suggests that if you want to get realistic lighting/foreshortening/etc of a fictitious character, make a Sculpey (or in my case, Z-brush) maquette of them to work off of. It really, REALLY helps!!!!

Great film villain, methinks! On that note, I thought I’d share the wonder of Mondex, the scuba-diving chihuahua.

I hereby declare the plural form of “emu” to be “emi”.

Oh– and good news! VALUE BLiND is going to play at LA’s Readymade Film Festival on August 15th!

Been a while since I’ve done any art updates! I reckon I lacked the time to upload the rest of my character design assignments from the year, so I’ll start doing one of these a day/night (hopefully with an interlude about the shop going live!) If you see anything on these that you’d like to buy on a 1″ button, post a comment! I’ll see about buttonizing them.
