Hey! Lookit that fishy! I recognize him!!

So this morning I stroll into the English offices, my eyes methodically covering every nook and cranny of the building. Nope, no signs of the word “Bravura” anywhere.

And before I get into too much detail, Bravura is Palomar College’s annual literary and arts magazine. They publish works by the students.

I then lamented to my Creative Writing teacher that the due date for the Bravura was today, the 13th– or so the website had said. She replied that there easily could have been some delays, and that we’d definitely have it in a week.

Bravura was forgotten about for the next few hours, until I walked into 3D Animation. One of my friends shoved a familiar picture in my face–

see, when you make an artwork and you proudly pin it on your bulletin board, you see it day after day after week after month and grow immune to it. This object shown to me was seemingly familiar. “Oh.” was the only thing that ran across my mind, but then– “BRAVURA 2008”– wait WHAT?! I made COVER???

Technically, A cover– the book is double-sided this year. Whoopeeee! Along with cover, I also got the Fire-Breathing Teddybear, the Chinese Alien and the Pterodactyl printed on the inside. None of my writing was published, but hey… I’ll take cover over literature 😀

Also, my friend Mike got four pieces published and took first place for visuals!
