It’s time for a well-overdue photo-blog post about my recent trip to Europe! I went to Berlin because ‘Can We Be Happy Now<\/a>‘ played at the REC for Kids film festival<\/a>. The entire trip was uber-enjoyable– met lots of great people, and my art-hungry eyes had a complete feast!

There was a really cool echo art installation in the Toronto airport. Stomping in it was way too much fun! Good thing I don’t know how to tap-dance…<\/p>\n

Hallo, Germany– we flew into Frankfurt and from there to Berlin.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

BRAAAAAINS. I imagine this is where the EuroZombies shop.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gozirra and I had a great time hanging out!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And then Gozirra and I got lost, so I had to navigate my way back to the REC film festival for Kids.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Made it! Here’s Detlef and me, he was an incredibly helpful guide for the whole trip!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I got to hold the attention of lots of German kids.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“Yes, my name’s actually ‘Tahnee’…” Funny how my name was unusual to them, as they had lots of unusual names to me! Some of the kids had really curveball questions. Yes, the greyscale part was intentionally boring…<\/p>\n

This was a really cool memorial. It was a labyrinth of blocks– as you walked deeper into it, they rose higher around you, and suddenly every path you took would reveal a different story by the other people exploring it: some were taking photos, others were lost, the occasional kid was running around… It was really fun to explore.<\/p>\n

We rode these a lot!<\/p>\n

Killer street art in Kreuzberg.<\/p>\n

I left my mark on the Berlin Wall!<\/p>\n

More remnants of the Wall– this guy was too heavy… Thankfully I was never crushed.<\/p>\n
