That&#8217;s a 2.5&#8243;x2.5&#8243; sheet of shrink plastic (with an alien painted on) being shrunken to 1&#8243;x1&#8243; (roughly) via heat gun. As a kid, I used an oven and could wait some 15-25 minutes to wait for my &#8220;shrinky-dinks&#8221; to transform to their shrunken size, but it takes only about half a minute under a heat gun. Good deal!<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/tahnee.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/sd2.JPG\" alt=\"shrinkydink2\" \/> There&#8217;s a miniature egg, with holes punched on the side for future bracelet-ing.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/tahnee.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/sd3.JPG\" alt=\"shrinkydink3\" \/>The whole Pterodactyl series&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/tahnee.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/brac2.JPG\" alt=\"swirlbracelet1\" \/><img src=\"http:\/\/tahnee.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/brac3.JPG\" alt=\"swirlbracelet2\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/tahnee.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/brac1.JPG\" alt=\"swirlbracelet3\" \/> Full swirl layout.<\/p>\n<p>Shrink plastic doesn&#8217;t absorb&#8211; at ALL&#8211; but as long as you sand it before you draw\/paint on it, it&#8217;ll hold your medium just fine. And if you put too much paint on, in the event that you want to cover up what&#8217;s already on there, it really shouldn&#8217;t take as much as you&#8217;d think; when you shrink it, any excess bumpy dried paint will turn into tiny raised  bumps, which still gives an interesting texture \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What&#8217;s that??! you ask.
